Abstract:   The Cherokee syllabary has been adapted to new technologies since its invention in 1821. It evolved from handwriting, to the printing press, to manual and electric typewriters, and now is part of the Unicode standard. This poster is a summary of the evolution of the Cherokee syllabary through the 21st century.
