Abstract: The South African Centre for Digital Language Resources ( SADiLaR ) is a new research infrastructure (RI) set up by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) forming part of the new South African Research Infrastructure Roadmap ( SARIR ) The centre runs two main programmes. A digitisation programme and a Digital Humanities (DH) programme. The focus of the poster will show the different elements of establishing the digitisation programme, which focusses on the creation text, audio and multimodal datasets as well as the development of NLP tools and software for the 11 official languages of South Africa.
Resume: Die Suid Afrikaanse Sentrum vir Digitale Taal Hulpbronne (SADiLaR) is 'n nuwe navorsingsinfrastruktuur befonds deur die Departement van Wetenskap en Innovasie en maak deel uit van die Suid Afrikaanse Navorsingsingsinfrastruktuur Padkaart (SARIR) Die sentrum huisves twee programme. 'n Digitalisering en 'n Digitale Humaniora-program. Die plakkaataanbieding sal fokus op die digitaliseringsprogram, spesifiek op die samestelling daarvan wat behels die skep van teks, klank en ander multimodale datastelle sowel as die ontwikkeling van NLP programme vir die 11 amptelike tale van Suid Africa.
